President Solih inaugurates Faresmaathodaa Airport

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih officially inaugurated GDh. Faresmaathodaa Airport on Wednesday night.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, President Solih stated that the future looks promising for the Atoll. He added that such projects would increase air connectivity, jobs, and enliven economic projects in the area.

Faresmaathodaa Airport was contracted to MTCC and has a 1,200m runway, taxiway, and apron, a fire pad and fire road as well as a fire station. The project is valued at MVR 144.8 million.

The airport is operated by Regional Airports Company Ltd and has 2 scheduled Maldivian flights per week.
