An accident has occurred involving a police vehicle and a motorbike.

In a message to the media, police said on Tuesday that the accident occurred near the traffic light at Airport-Bridge junction around 0749hrs. Police said the person on the bike sustained injuries and is being treated at Hulhumale' Hospital.

Hulhumale' Hospital told 'One' that a 19-year-old man was brought in around 0810hrs and is being treated in the ER.

Hulhumale' Hospital made no further comments regarding the man's injuries.

The incident is currently being investigated by Police.
