First test flight will land at GDh. Faresmaathodaa Airport on Monday, Regional Airports have said.

Managing Director of Regional Airports, Mohamed Rizvi told 'One' on Sunday that GDh. Faresmaathodaa Airport will be officially opened on 15 March 2023.

"All the preparations have been made for the first test flight tomorrow. We will officially commence scheduled flights on 16 March", he said.

Rizvi added that all airlines are welcome to schedule flights to GDh. Faresmaathodaa Airport but that only Maldivian has requested flights as of yet.

GDh. Faresmaathodaa project which was contracted to MTCC is valued at MVR 144.8 million.
