Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has stated R. Maduvvari South Harbor Development Project is well underway.

MTCC said the remaining shipment of rock boulders have been delivered to the project site and the construction of breakwater and installation of mooring blocks are currently ongoing.

Scope of works for the project include 73,120cbm of dredging operations, 7,280cbm of channel dredging operations, construction of a 582m quay wall, installation of 2,840sqm harbor pavement, construction of a ramp and concrete jetty, installation of harbor lights, construction of a 135m revetment and installation of navigation lights.

The project is valued at MVR 82.19 million.
