Finance Ministry is seeking a contractor to develop 200 housing units in Hithadhoo, Addu City.

In a statement released on Wednesday, Finance Ministry said they have cancelled the former bids received for the project and have opened applications for Design and Build bids for 200 housing units as per Housing Ministry's request.

Finance Ministry said the bid will be carried out as per the Construction Contractors Regulation and Foreign Direct Investment Policy.

The Ministry further stated that a contractor will be selected for the project as per the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) policy and the evaluation criteria for contractors has been included in the information guide.

Interested contractors will be required to pay a non-refundable fee of MVR 500 and applications are open from 9 March to 3 April 2023. Payments will be accepted via https://bandeyripay.finance.gov.mv the Ministry said.

Contractors will also be required to submit a bid security of MVR 1,100,000 within a 148 day period from 5 April 2023.
