Maldives Police Service (MPS) has seized 4kgs of drugs and made 5 arrests in Male' City.

Commissioner of Police (CP) Mohamed Hameed Tweeted on Tuesday that the drugs were seized following an operation based on an intelligence report.

CP Hameed said ten places in Male' were searched during the operation and 4kgs of heroine were seized.

He further stated that the five men arrested are Maldivians.

Photos shared by CP Hameed on Twitter show the drugs were hidden in a washing machine.
