A “Center for Mental Health” has been opened at the Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih officially inaugurated the mental health wing today, in a social ceremony.

First Lady Fazna Ahmed also took part in the ceremony today.

While opening a special mental health section at the hospital had been a campaign pledge of a President Solih, the opening of the “Center for Mental Health” today has been completed. The center will work to provide services concerning mental illnesses and is also available under National Insurance Scheme, Aasandha.
