President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih is scheduled to visit Thaa Atoll Hirilandhoo on an official visit on Thursday.

The spokesperson at the President's Office, Miuvan Mohamed revealed that the President is visiting Hirilandhoo to attend the ceremony to commemorate 71 years of Hirilandhoo School.

The island with an estimated population of about 1,200 people is home to a number of youth in the carpentry and fisheries industry.

The last time President Solih visited the island was during the month of November in 2021.
