The Government has purchased 17 land plots in Hulhumale' for MVR 878 million.

The land plots - between 15,000sqft and 66,000sqft - were purchased from Hulhumale' Phase II.

Civil Court on Sunday issued a judgment that the Government had paid Housing Development Corporation (HDC) MVR 878 million and thus, has ownership of the land plots.

The Government has purchased land plots from HDC previously as well to build various offices such as Embassies.
