Employees working at Velaanaage which houses the majority of government offices staged a protest on Tuesday, after a ban on parking motorcycles at the parking zone nearby.

Street parking in front of the building on Ameer Ahmed Magu is also banned. The employees staged the protest after a ban on parking at the parking zone between Velaanaage and Dharumavantha School.

Participants of the protest noted that the parking zone has been blocked off. They were also carrying signs expressing their concerns over the lack of a proper parking space nearby.

One Online had reached out to Male' City Mayor, Dr. Ibrahim Muizzu multiple times, however he was not available for a comment at the time of press.

While the protest has now concluded, participants had also gone near Parliament Administration to raise their concerns.
