The man who was stabbed inside a shop in Maafannu on Friday night has passed away.

Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) confirmed the 30-year-old man hailing from Addu City passed away around 0645hrs on Monday morning.

IGMH told 'One' the man was on ventilator support in the ICU.

A 20-year-old man has been arrested under a court order in relation to the crime and has been remanded for 15 days.
