Four roles at Jumhooree Party (JP) have been filled by default without any voting at the ongoing National Congress of the party.

As per the basic regulations of the party, if only one member contends for a party role, the member who applied will be elected to the role by default.

Kendhoo Member of Parliament and Elections Committee Member of JP, Ali Hussain announced the names of the members who have been elected to the different roles during the congress that is currently ongoing at Dharubaaruge.

As such, the elected members include Qasim Ibrahim as the Leader, Abdulla Yameen as the Youth League Leader, Shuaib Shifaz as Youth Wing Deputy Leader, and Aishath Shooza Ahmed as the Women's League Secretary.

Voting for the remaining roles is now ongoing.
