Maldives Airport Company Ltd (MACL) has begun a training program for air traffic controllers.

MACL said that an area control procedure course and an approach control procedure course are being conducted for the air traffic controllers. MACL added that the courses commenced on Tuesday and will go on until 12 April.

MACL further added that 12 air traffic controllers are partaking in the courses - 6 controllers in each course respectively.

The courses are being conducted by a team of international and local trainers.

MACL said the company is responsible for providing air navigation across the country and the two courses being conducted right now would greatly improve the services provided.
