Maldives Democratic Party (MDP)'s Chairperson and Economic Minister Fayyaz Ismail has stated that MDP is working together with all the political parties to ensure President Solih wins the election in the first round.

Speaking to 'One' outside of Sun Siyam Building following meetings with Maldives Development Alliance (MDA), Fayyaz said that MDA plays an essential role in the development of the country.

Fayyaz further stated that President Solih has the ability to work together with the ideologies of MDA and Adhaalath Party, which has been proven before as well. He stressed that going into a second round of the election was in itself a difficult thing to do, which adds a lot more to the elections.

He highlighted how the party won the last election in one round after having formed a coalition with other parties.
