Ministry of Tourism has revealed that over 300,000 tourist arrivals have been recorded in 2023 so far.
As per the statistics released by the Ministry, 301,658 tourist arrivals were recorded by February 20th. This marks a 27.9 percent increase in comparison to the same period last year, where 235,850 tourist arrivals were recorded.
A total of 129,159 tourist arrivals were recorded within the first 20 days of February. This marks a 24.1 percent increase in comparison to 2022 and a whopping 92 percent increase in comparison to 2019.
On average, 6,458 tourist arrivals have been recorded this year, who spend an average of eight days in the Maldives.
