A man has been stabbed in Addu City.

Police said on Thursday night that they received a report of violence in Addu City Hithadhoo around 2202hrs.

Police added that the injured man was taken to Addu Equitorial Hospital (AEH) for further treatment and an 18-year-old was arrested in relation to the crime.

Police did not specify the extent of injuries suffered by the man in the attack and 'One' was unable to get in touch with AEH for a comment.

The incident is currently being investigated by Police.
