Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has said Th. Buruni Shore Protection Project is currently underway.

MTCC said the breakwater construction has reached 20% completion, with the beach area filling work reaching 27% completion.

Scope of work for the project include beach filling of 21,181.80 cbm of sand, construction of a 220m revetment and a 369m breakwater.

The project is valued at MVR 27.2 million.
