AFCONS employees working on Addu City road project have filed a complaint against the company citing inhumane working conditions.

The complaint was filed on Tuesday, following protests in front of the police station by a group of AFCONS employees.

In a video circulating on social media, some employees are seen talking about the poor working conditions and the overall poor treatment of the employees.

"We are told that we will only get meals if we work. How do I work when my eye is injured? My eye has been bleeding for two days," one employee is seen saying on video.

The employees said they are filing the complaint with police because they believe that only the authorities can solve the issues they are facing with their employer.

Police officials told 'One' on Tuesday that they have received a complaint from some of the AFCONS employees working on Addu City HulhuMeedhoo road project. Police said they are investigating the issue.
