Foreign Ministry has stated that no Maldivians were injured in the earthquake that hit Turkey on Monday.
The Ministry stated on Thursday that they are closely monitoring the status and wellbeing of the Maldivians in Turkey.
"There are 14 Maldivians in Turkey registered at the Permanent Mission of Turkey in Geneva. So far we have not received news of any injuries to a Maldivian," Foreign Ministry stated.
Foreign Ministry has further appealed to contact the Ministry's hotline number 7983400 if any Maldivian in Turkey requires assistance.
Death toll in the Turkey earthquake has risen to 16,170 with over 60,000 injured while death toll in Syria has risen to 3,162 following the earthquake.
