The Criminal Court has set a 30-day remand period for an expatriate worker who had been arrested for sexually harassing a child at a mosque in Male' City.
One Online has learned that the arrested man works at Jamaluddin Mosque located in Chaandhanee Magu. The man had allegedly flashed his genitals to a 10-year-old boy who had attended a prayer at the mosque.
A Police Media Officer confirmed to One Online that upon being presented to the Criminal Court for a remand hearing, the court had set a 30-day period for remand.
While a man has been arrested in a mosque over sexual harassment of a child, a 73-year-old man and 60-year-old man was arrested just last month for sexually abusing a minor in two different cases.
