The President said this while speaking at a campaign event for Parliamentary hopeful for the Alifushi constituency, Mohamed Rasheed.

The President indicated that the previous administration had also committed embezzlement and theft with state funds in the name of development.
He said that the the trust that should be placed in major financial institutions had been non-existent at that time.
As such, President Solih added that Parliament being influenced is also an aspect of the reality of five years ago.
