Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has revealed that Baa Atoll Hithaadhoo Breakwater and Quay Wall construction project is well underway, with existing harbor dredging operations and construction of concrete jetty ongoing, with 57% and 32% completion respectively.

According to the company, scope of works include, 14,929cbm of dredging and excavation operations, 4,101cbm of entrance channel dredging operations, construction of 22m groyne; a 495m breakwater, a 90m revetment, a 350m quay wall repair, construction of a bridge, installation of 1,750sqm of harbor pavement, construction of a ramp and a concrete platform, installation of navigational aids and harbor lights.

The value of the project is MVR 19.80 million.
