Dialysis services have commenced in Lhaviyani Atoll Hospital on Sunday.

The services are being provided by the Dialysis Center at Lhaviyani Atoll Hospital on Naifaru. The center was developed under the CSR program of the Maldives Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC). The center was finished and handed over on January 30th.

The hospital noted that this was an important step in the government's efforts towards establishing a decentralized health system in the country.

While the center houses three beds, it also has an isolation room and modern dialysis facilities.
