Former Presidet Mohamed Nasheed has said that the Jumhoory Party (JP) Leader, Qasim Ibrahim cannot acquire even six seats in the upcoming parliament election by working with the former President, Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom.
Speaking at the campaign launch for parliament hopeful, Ali Niyaz, running for the Hulhumale' constituency, Nasheed said that agreements were signed and promises were made when the coalition won the Presidential Election.
And so agreements were made to in regards to the parliament election and how to proceed in the parliament, according to the former President, however they never came to fruition.
Nasheed said that the promise to stop corruption has been forgotten and they did not get the parliament support when it was time to empower the commissions made to investigate the past crimes.
He said that the JP Leader is working with Abdulla Yameen in a coalition for the parliament election and they will not win. "I have no doubts about it." said Nasheed.
The former President said that if a promise is made, there is the other side to is as well. And when promises are broken, doubts will be formed about other things as well.
