Police have stated that search is ongoing for the man who went missing in AA. Mathiveri.

Hassan Ali (Hassanfulhu), 73, Rihivehi, went missing on Tuesday.

Police Tweeted on Thursday night that the search for Hassanfulhu is ongoing and has not yielded any positive results. According to Police, he was last seen on Tuesday.

Police further stated that a number of households and areas in the island has been searched together with the support from the island's residents.

If anyone has any information regarding Hassanfulhu, Police have urged the public to call Police hotline 3322111 or contact Mathiveri Police Station at 9994875.

Mathiveri Council President Ahmed Aslam told 'One' on Wednesday that Hassanfulhu was last seen after Maghreb prayers on Wednesday. He added that they have also received reports that Hassanfulhu was seen by the beach and the CCTV footage from the area has since been reviewed.

Mathiveri Council Member Hussain Nihan said that Hassanfulhu goes fishing and it is possible that he may have gone fishing. Nihan said the lagoon area has since been searched as well.
