Three have been arrested from polling centers in Gaafu Alif Thinadhoo and Rathafandhoo for violence during the MDP Presidential Primary voting.
While the ballot box placed at Thinadhoo School was vandalized and broken, a video has gone viral on social media where members are seeing creating havoc and violence.
Rathafandhoo Council Member Abdul Wahid AbdulRazzag revealed to One Online today that the polling center on the island saw tense situations unfold after one member had been given two ballot papers. He added two were arrested for violence.
He also highlighted that voting is still continuing on the island despite the situation.
