President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has stated that he will win the MDP Presidential Primary with a difference of double digits.

Speaking to the press after casting his vote, the President stated that he hopes to see an outcome where democracy is happy.

After being asked about potential voter fraud in the election, the president highlighted that such things do not happen in MDP elections. He further stated that after this election, all members of MDP will work together to win the 2023 Presidential Election.

Speaker of Parliament Mohamed Nasheed is facing off President Solih in the election, and had cast his vote earlier in the day as well.
