Expired IDs will no longer be accepted for domestic flights: Maldivian

National Airline 'Maldivian' has stated that expired identity cards can be used for domestic flights until 22 February 2023.

'Maldivian' accepts national identity card, passport, work Visa card, license card, airport security pass for domestic flights. However, 'Maldivian' said on Tuesday that none of these documents would be accepted if expired after 22 February onwards.

Defence Ministry issued a circular on 21 November 2022 stating that the expired documentation was an exception during Covid, but would be void starting next month.
