National Airline 'Maldivian's Managing Director Mohamed Mihad says that positive changes will be seen to the fuel surcharge which is included in the ticketing fee of Maldivian flights

Answering a question by a journalist after the ceremony held at Gan International Airport on Saturday to commemorate the first scheduled flight of the new ATR aircraft, Mihad said that with the new aircrafts, the ticketing prices will be revised.

"The ticket pricing is set according to the administrations' pledge in 2018. The truth is that ticket prices have not changed. The fuel surcharge increased following global events. This year will see positive changes in oil prices globally, and with that our fuel surcharges will be reduced as well," Mihad said.

He added that the fuel surcharge changes according to jet fuel prices globally.
