President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has stated that the Airport Development Project in Shaviyani Atoll Bilehfahi will begin during this term.

Speaking during a meeting in Shaviyani Atoll Kanditheemu as part of his campaign for the upcoming MDP Presidential Primary, he noted that the biggest priority is given to providing essential needs, highlighting that water and sewerage systems will be established in all the islands y the end of the current presidential term.

The President further added that with the development of Hanimadhoo International Airport, major changes will be witnessed by Boduthiladhunmathi, including many more economic opportunities.

He also highlighted that the works on Bilehfahi Airport will begin very soon.

He stressed that MDP members must think carefully before they vote in the Presidential Primary, noting that the vote is clearly linked to uninterrupted project progress.
