President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has stated that the support he is receiving from Addu City will not go to waste, adding that if he is re-elected, his new government would include a large representation of Addu.
President Solih made the statement speaking to members of South Hithadhoo, during his ongoing campaign visit to the City.
During this meeting, he expressed confidence in winning the MDP Presidential Primary by a big margin. He claimed that the work done by the government during the Covid-19 pandemic had been largely welcomed by the country, and credited his confidence to that.
He further stated that while previous governments had pledged bigger things for Addu and had tried to fulfill those, most of those things have been temporary solutions.
He stated that the developmental projects that have already begun in Addu can only be completed in a second term, and for that he needed to win the Primary.
