Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has revealed that the Gaafu Alif Atoll Dhaandhoo Harbor Development Project is well underway. with quay wall block installation works, concrete works and construction of ramp being completed.

According to the company, the scope of works involve, 52,099cbm of harbor dredging operations, 4953cbm of channel dredging operations, construction of a 30m groyne, a 333m breakwater, a 170m revetment, a 529m quay wall, installation of 1203sqm of harbor pavement.

The project was contracted to MTCC on January 20th, 2022 with the work having begun on January 29th. The value of the project is MVR 70.8 million.
