Speaker of Parliament Mohamed Nasheed has started a tour of Noonu, Raa, and Baa Atoll as part of his ongoing campaign for the MDP Presidential Primary scheduled for January 28th.

According to Nasheed's campaign team, the three-day tour will see Nasheed meeting with the residents of several islands in these atolls.

Nasheed has so far visited Fuvahmulah City, Alif Alif, Alif Dhaal, Faafu, and Dhaalu Atoll this month. He is also scheduled to visit Laamu, Thaa, Meemu, and Vaavu Atoll from January 13th to January 15th, after wrapping up the current tour.

Speaking during a press conference held on Sunday, Nasheed claimed that he has seen a great number of support for him from the Atolls, adding that he has no doubts about winning the presidential primary.

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, who is competing with Nasheed is also currently touring the islands as part of his campaign to garner support. As such, the President is currently in Baa Atoll.
