First Lady Fazna Ahmed on Thursday officially launched the National Disability Registry (NDR)'s digital portal.

The digital portal was launched at a function held at R. Alifushi School to commemorate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

Speaking at the function, President Solih noted the administration's efforts to promote the inclusion of persons with disabilities, as well as mobilise support for their rights, dignity, and well-being.

President Solih emphasized the importance of the NDR in his speech. He stated that the data collected through the registry will make it easier for the administration to meet the specific needs and requirements of people with disabilities.

He also added that the NDR would also aid in providing the disability allowance. President Solih further added that the administration is currently reviewing the allowance and would reveal the details soon.
