Elections Commission (EC) has said the Commission is working on finalizing a date for Presidential Elections 2023.

EC's President Fuad Thaufeeq told 'One' on Thursday that the current tentative dates EC is looking at for Presidential Elections 2023 are September 2 or 9 for the first round and September 23 or 30 for the second round of elections.

"We will announce the final dates on 15 January," Fuad said.

Fuad added that EC is currently working on obtaining Dhivehi Raajjeyge Adu building as an electoral centre and that the administration has ensured EC would be able to get the location within the month.
