Avid College has denied the College is conducting courses that are not accredited by Maldives Qualification Authority (MQA).
MQA released a statement on Thursday stating ACCA Applied Knowledge Level 5 and ACCA Strategic Professional Level 8 which were advertised on Avid College's Instagram were not accredited by MQA.
Addressing the statement by MQA, Avid College said that both programmes were accredited by MQA and that the Instagram Ad had a typo which has since been corrected.
As such, Avid College said the College will be conducting ACCA Applied Knowledge Level 6 and ACCA Strategic Professional Level 7 courses.
"MQA brought this to our attention after they released a statement regarding it. This took away our opportunity to rectify our error. We are deeply saddened at how MQA's statement portrays our College," Avid College said.
Avid College said that MQA should work on developing higher education providers and guiding them would be beneficial for MQA as well.
