Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has said HA. Hoarafushi Road Development Project is well underway, with overall 72% project progress.

MTCC said asphalt laying works are progressing with 90% completion.

The scope of the project includes construction of 11 roads measuring 5.3km in length, construction of a 25,909 sqm carriageway, installation of 11,114sqm pavement, installation of stormwater infiltration system, streetlights and road markings.

The project is valued at MVR 71.9 million.
