Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has revealed that the Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll Thinadhoo Industrial Zone Land Reclamation and Shore Protection Project is progressing well, with the construction of revetment having begun.

They added that the second shipment of precast concrete blocks have been delivered to the project site, and that they have commenced construction of revetment.

Scope of works include reclamation operations of 10.6 hectares, construction of a 1521m revetment, a 555m quay wall, sheet pile works of 166m, installation of 4492sqm pavement, bollards, fenders and lights.

The project valued at MVR 125 million was awarded to MTCC to be completed within 660 days.
