President Solih submits application for MDP Primary with the support of 20,000 members

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has submitted his application for the MDP Presidential Primary, with the support of 20,000 party members.

MDP opened for applications for their Primary on December 18th, with the deadline expiring by 4:00pm today. The party is set to hold its primary on January 28th.

One of the application conditions was submitting 500 support forms from party members.

President Solih's campaign manager and Kinbidhoo MP Mohamed Nashiz revealed via Twitter that the candidacy for President Solih to compete in the 2023 MDP Primary had been submitted today with the support of 20,000 party members.

While President Solih submitted his candidacy today, Speaker of Parliament Mohamed Nasheed had also submitted his candidacy with the support of 500 members as stipulated.
