A man has been injured after being attacked with a sharp object during a domestic dispute in Male' City.

A message sent by Police to the media revealed that they had received reports of a Maldivian man being injured during a domestic dispute in Henveiru. It further revealed that the report was received around 12:21 pm, and that the man was attacked with a sharp object.

While the details of the injury remain unclear, the 37-year-old man is being treated at Senahiya Hospital.

A 25-year-old woman who is believed to be the attacker has been arrested as well.

Police added that they are further investigating the case.
