Abubakuru Faisal, 32's, body has been handed over to his family.

Faisal was remanded under a Court order after he turned himself in at Kulhudhuffushi City Police Station following the suspicious death of his wife, Nishama Mohamed, 28, in HDh. Nolhivaram.

Faisal attempted suicide while in police custody at Kulhudhuffushi City Police Station on 12 December and was taken to Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital for medical intervention. He was admitted to the ICU under critical care.

Faisal passed away while undergoing medical care around 0828hrs on Monday.

Police said on Monday night that his body has been brought to Male' and handed over to his family.
