Dhiraagu partnered with Hope For Women to conduct a gender advocacy training to mark the international #16DaysOfActivism.

The training focused mainly on civil society organisations and government companies as well as the general public to address gender advocacy to end domestic and gender based violence.

As such, the gender advocacy workshop focused on providing information on gender concepts, gender mainstreaming and ways to advocate for gender equality through the existing policies to strengthen support for women.

"We believe that everyone has a responsibility to create awareness about the gender disparities in our society and advocate for gender equality," Hope For Women's Chairperson Ahmed Anwar said.

Hope For Women has been actively working on gender advocacy and women empowerment since 2010. As such, over the past decade, Hope For Women has conducted multiple workshops and trainings to create awareness.

Speaking of the gender advocacy training, Dhiraagu Corporate Social Responsibility Manager Bishara Hameed said Dhiraagu is pleased to contribute support to the #16DaysOfActivism by Hope For Women.

Dhiraagu shared their gender action plan's priorities with the company's staff during Women's Day this year.
