Maldives National Party (MNP) President, Mohamed Nazim has confirmed the party's Presidential Ticket to compete in the 2023 Presidential Election.

The party opened applications for the ticket from December 1st till December 14th, during which only Nazim had applied to contest.

Spokesperson of MNP, Shidhatha Shareef revealed to One Online that only Nazim had contested for the ticket, hence he has confirmed the ticket as per the party policies.

MNP had previously announced that they will be contending in the 2023 Presidential Election, and launched a manifesto as well.

MNP has gained traction in the political scene within a short period of time, having competed in the bi-election for Komandoo Constituency, while several members of the party have won Women's Development Committee (WDC) seats.

As per the information on the Elections Commission website, MNP is the fourth largest party in the Maldives with over 10,000 members.
