A woman has been found murdered in Haa Dhaal Atoll Nolhivaram.

One Online can now confirm that the woman was found murdered in her room. Her identity has also been confirmed to be Nishama Mohamed, who is from the same island.

Local islanders and members of her family allege her husband of having killed her.

Police revealed that they received reports of a murder on the island around 12:30pm, adding that their officers had attended to the scene and taken an unconscious woman to the island's Health Center.

They further revealed that the doctors had pronounced her dead upon arrival, highlighting that the woman was 28 years of age.

They are investigating all the related circumstances around the death of the woman.

Nolhivaram Council President Yoosuf Moosa confirmed to One Online about having received reports of the sudden death of a woman on the island.

Reports coming from the island revealed that the woman, who is also married to a man from the island has three children with him. He was allegedly in Kulhudhuffushi City during the time of her death.
