High Court says cannot accept appeal on Civil Court decision against Rishwa Enterprises and Ahmed Rashad, R. Meedhoo, to pay MVR 1.6 million to Fuel Supplies Maldives (FSM).

FSM had previously taken Rishwa Enterprises to Civil Court over failure to pay dues for the fuel supplied to the business by FSM.

Civil Court had ordered Rishwa Enterprises and Ahmed Rashad to pay MVR 1.6 million as payment for the fuel to FSM within 3 months.

Ahmed Rashad appealed the Civil Court decision at High Court. However, High Court stated the appeal cannot be accepted as the defendant had provided insufficient information on the case to conduct an appeal hearing. As such High Court decided that the appeal case cannot be carried forward.
