High Court conducts first ever hearing with a single-judge bench.

This is the first time a single-judge bench has conducted a hearing as opposed to the normal three-judge bench since High Court was founded.

High Court stated that this is the first hearing after the High Court laws were amended to allow a single-judge bench to conduct hearings.

The court hearing held today was an appeal hearing brought forth by Prosecutor General's Office regarding Criminal Court decision to release Ahmed Mujahidh, GDh. Hoadehdhoo, in relations to a drug offence hearing.

The High Court hearing on Tuesday was conducted with Judge Mohamed Niyaz on the bench.
