Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has said the work on design and build of R. Kinolhas Harbour Development Project is well underway, with 71% overall project progress.
MTCC said the quay wall block installation works have been completed and the third shipment of rock boulders have been delivered to the project site.
Scope of work for the project include, dredging and excavation operations, construction of a 162m groyne, a 285m breakwater, a 65m revetment, a 186m quay wall, a ramp, installation of a 1663.36sqm harbour pavement, and navigational aids and harbour lights.
The project is valued at MVR 45.1 million.
