Women in Management Maldives (WIMMV) and the University of Colombo has signed an agreement to begin hospitality industry courses in the Maldives.

The agreement was signed during the 4th edition of the Professional & Career Women Awards held last night at Kurumba Maldives Resort.

WIMMV revealed that important courses in the field will be taught by Professor at the University of Colombo, Dr. D.A.C Suranga Silva.

Courses that are to be taught by WIMMV and the University of Colombo:

- Post-Graduate Diploma Leading to Masters in Tourism Economics and Hotel Management

- Executive Diploma in Tourism and Events and Hospitality Management

- Diploma in Travel & Tourism Economics and Hotel Management

- Certificate in Sustainable Tourism Destination Management

- Certificate in Travel & Tour Management and Best Practices

In addition to this, WIMMV signed an agreement with Sri Lanka's Fems, a company under Hemas Holdings to provide sanitary napkins to female students in various schools.
