Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has revealed that they have commenced physical works of Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll Gahdhoo Harbor Development Project on 26th Nov 2022.

The company highlighted that the existing harbor channel closing work is currently ongoing. The first shipment of rock boulders has been delivered to the site.

MTCC further noted that the scope of works includes, dredging and excavation operations of 23,017cbm, construction of a 232m breakwater, a 35m revetment, a 320m quay wall, construction of a 320m Scouring Apron, a bridge, installation of 1600sqm harbor pavement and harbor lights.

The value of the project is MVR 42.6 million.
