Housing Development Corporation has stated that 723 people were eligible to purchase the 'Vinares' apartments, among all those who applied showing interest.

The corporation on Sunday published a temporary list including all the eligible individuals who can purchase the apartments, from those who had applied.

Speaking during a press conference at their Exhibition Center, Managing Director Ahmed Athif revealed that a total of 1,413 individuals had applied to purchase the apartments. However, only 723 people met all the conditions and are eligible for the purchase.

As such he noted that applications were opened based on the criteria of the Ministry of Housing, noting that the corporation checked whether the applicants met the criteria or not.

On the list, 248 applicants were eligible for being registered in Male' for 15 years. The highest number of points awarded in this category was 83 points, while the lowest was 25. In the category of being a resident of Male' for 15 years, 475 were eligible with the highest points awarded being 98 and the lowest 25.

HDC highlighted that even though these applicants are eligible. many had not submitted the required financial documents with their applications. The corporation has since decided to provide a grace period of five days for those applicants and will conduct an open day in Hulhumale' between December 6th and December 12th.

The temporary list has now been published on HDC's website, and complaints regarding the list are open for submission for three days from now.
